The Caps returned from a long break facing a big symbol of the Olympic games in net Sabres golaie but the struck first and then after it being tied struck halfway through the third and added a empty netter wiining 3-1 in Buffalo great d and sparkling saves gave the Caps l;ife and they missed some great chances one knuble broke away a 2 on 0 dked around but went forehand when he should have chosen a bakchand stuff cuz of the angle but Caps still win the GOALS the first a great defelction on a d slapper went over the golaie and into the net Chimera with the great deflction his 13th from fehr and Shultz but Buffalo answered on a play that they had a couple fortunate bounces on 2 Caps going for it bounced off there skates back to another Cap where he tried a pass that hit another ksate and right to a Sabre in tight and he beat Jose but that was it for their O and the Mike Green on a rush was fed and he one time slapped it into the back of the net his 15th from fleoichman and Shultz the Boyd added a sweet empty netter off the boards he whipped it and it hit nothing but the back of the net a skliiful shot and ill be honest those help when the other team pulls their goalie things get corwded and the only way to alleviate that pressure is to clear or to get gutty and send one at the net a long way off but Boyd aimed it perfectly and it was then 3-1 game over Boyd's 4th unassisted both teams 0-2 on the PP faceoffs 21-34 Buf Hits 16-11 Caps Shopts 40-24 Caps Jose made 23 saves and some real good important ones to boot especially after Green scored he held tight and denied some great chances but stood his ground Fleichman 1st tsra Green 2nd Saber golaie 3rd i think Jose deserved a star as did Chimera on his greta defeklction but Fleichman on that break made that smart extra pass that lead to Green's gamwinner Caps improve to 42-13-8 and they are the best team in the NHL and SJ lost last night so they have a 3 point cushion atop the entire NHL playing great hockey next up Tampa visists Verizon tommorow expect Smeyon in net and he needs to play greta if he wants top spot goalie back cuz Jose is hot now really hot.
