Skins Lose to Phily

I can point to a few reasons why the SKins lost one is that on two big plays on the O were called back on holds a 30+ yard run by Maosn and a long 18 yaredr BY JC called back on holds and add another ten to what you need and its hard to convert those longer plays and makes each one more critical. Then there were the TOs two picks that gave the Eagles instant chances for points without having to move the ball both resulted in FGs. JC 22-37 231 in the air 73.1 QB rating one question for next year is who will be behind center throwing passes and handing the ball off Michale Vick Colt Brennan Chase Daniel 3 possibilities. Rock 15 for 38 not good Ganther 5 for 32 good Mason 3 for 10 a long one called back on a hold so Rock didnt get it doine today and everybody eagerly awaits CP back in the lineup i expect him bakc next week he's been out 3 and mopst of a 4th. THE WRs Kelly 2 for 50 Devin 4 for 46 Davis 4 for 43 Moss 4 for 28 Rock 3 for 26 El 2 for 19 Sellers 1 for 12 Mason 1 for 11 Gantehr 1 for -4 bad play. One othe reason the SKins didnt win as at 3rd and goal from the 5 Cambell threw one away where he had time should have moved around made someone respect his running abvailty sttrech the play out longer and find soemone to throw to he gave up on the play way to early and that play had ait been a TD would have gave the Skins a win most likely. Tryon had his first ever pick when Wilson presusred Mcnabb and got his arm on the ball which flung wildy high and wobbly wound up in Justin's hands. Carter had a sack as did London and Adnre has nine sacks so far just2 for the Skins and the big hit by WIlson so thats pretty much 3 not a bad day The skins shaky line allowed 4 more sackas today and that is too much presuure on JC who needs some time bakc there so an area they need to improve on playoff playoffs?? I dont think the SKins are going to be attending those festivites this year sadly. Devin had a nice day returning kickoffs until his last 2 but the first 2 were above average. Caps Stun Montreal in SO/OT

The Caps led ealry by 2 then gave up 3 staright but a PP chacne with 15 seconds left gave them what they needed as they won the faceoff Ovoie fired a one timer and Fehr flicked in the juicy rebound then a scroless OT and the Caps would win the SO 1-0 and the game 4-3. The Caps also killed a 5 on 3 then allowde a goal right after and i thought good they stuck out a 1:17 min 5 on 3 40 more 5 on 4 but about 32 left Candianes got the go ahead score. GOAL RUSH. Eric Fehr socred the first on a sweet deflection as he got a piece of the puck as it flew by and it hit net so 1-0 his 5th from Alzner and Laich, Then Ovie would fire a wicked one timer that went into the back of the net hos 18th from Backstrom and Giroux whop skated iwth the top line tonight. Then 3 in a row for Montreal and the Candaines were back in the driver seat until the Caps win the faceoff and i already told ya so Fehr's 6th 2nd of the game from Ovie and Fleichman. 3-3 into OT where no goals were scored. Semyon would stop all 3 attempts and Fleichman would be denied as would Ovie but then Bakcstrom came down and fired it low ankle high right past PRICE and the PRICE IS WRONG BI*&H for all you Happy Gilmore fans out there 4-3 your final Sewmyon 21 saves PPs Caps 1-3 Mon 2-4. Caps blank Sabres

The Caps played a whole 60 minutes tonight something loyal Caps followers have been almost begging of this squad to do killed a major penalty then a minor and had no advantafes of their own but took an ealry lead and incresed it to 2 late in the 3rd and won 2-0. Nik Backstrom missed an empty net with 15 ticks left but the Caps didnt need it as Smeyon gets his first shutout of his career in the regaular season not sure if he blanked Ny in the postseasoin in the 09 playoffs and he gets top star Ovie scored a nice goal 2nd and Pothier played solid all night for third. Ovie's goal was one wheer he skated into the season went laterly and flicked a wristet past the goalie for a wuick 1-0 lead his 17th from Shultz. Then fehr would be in front of the net and Brendan Morrsion found after he rapped around dished and Fehr swung and knockked it into the bakc of the net his 4th from Morrsion and Green. Shots Caps 24 Buf 25 PPs Buf 0-3 Caps 0-0 no chances a man up and thats a difficult way to play a game let me tell you with no oppurtuties on the man up or advatrage. Semyon 25 saves and some great ones that turned the home crowd crazy as he shutdown the Sabres offense when they tried him. Casp now 14-5-6 tied atop the east as the Penguins stayed with the Caps winning their game toinight so no breathing room yet and the Devils have 31 pts in 3 fewer games so they are lurking in 2nd. Next up a trip into Canada to face the Cabnadiens and im sure the Caps would love to pay them back witha beating since the trip through Canada they just took was not a strong one. Thats Saturday at 7:00. Caps snap their 3 game losing slide and want to start a winning streak they want wins. The Wiz game had a sad connotation o it owner Abe Polin died at age 85 but they Wiz played inpired and won 108-107 and hing on to stop a last second attempt at a win. Caps Lose in OT to Sens

In this one the Caps held a house lead over the Senate but the Senate voted them out in OT. What was once a 3-1 lead evaporated in the 3rd and in OT one 2 on 1 was stopped but the next tipped past Smeyon. The trip to Canada was not good leaving the Caps 0-1-2 2 points but not good as they took 3 losses. The Caps fell behind 1-0 but Clark would score for the caps when a salppass hit his skate and went in his 2nd from Pothier and Ovie. Then late in the 1st Morrison was the recipeint of a nice feed in front and he tipped it in his 8th from green adn Fehr 2-1. Then Beagle would score his first NHL goal when he got a tipped pass driving to the net and fired it in to the net his 1st unassisted. 3-1. Ottawa would strike twice in the third then after a sparkling save on a 2-1 when Smeyon moved sise to side and smacked down a shoit the next was fired high and tipped in and thats how it ended unforunate for the Caps 4-3 in OT. Green was 3rd star with 1A Smyon 33 saves 28 shots Caps 37 Sens PPs Caps 0-3 Sens 1-3 Caps 13-5-6 Win loss wise 16-8 a good mark but its time for them to start putting a winning streak together cuz Pens have now tied them atop the East Next up Buffalo visits Verizon and the Caps would love to beat the Sabres so LETS GO CAPS!!!!!!!!

Skins lose to Dallas

The Skins should have won they led the whole game and late they had a 50 yarder to make it 9-0 but it was just a bit wide Cowboys good field position and they went to socre Skins driving but on a first down throw ball is tipped and picked game over. The SKins also missed a chip shot to emnd the first half 37 yarder and Suisham ot his first miss of the year their. JC 24-37 256 yds and a INT a QB rating of 73.7 cuz of the pick and no TDs also no good scrambles from the QB something Im accustomed to him doing. Rock 13 for 67 yds 5.2 avg as Betts got hurt ealry and was done for the day. Rock 7 for 73 rec El 5 for 45 Moss 5 for 38 Kelly 1 for 36 Thomas 3 for 33 Davois 2 for 24 Sllers 1 for 7. SKins dropped two picks in this one Rocky and London the culprits and then Lomndon lost the SKins 5 yards when he picked off an errant 4th down throw. Hall recovered a fumble when London kcokced the ball loose of a RB wither barber or Jones or Choice you have a chopice in that one. The SKins one sack from griffin on Romo's pick Orakpo had good pressure had his arms around the Qb but didnt take him down as Romo got away there were other times the SKins couldnt rap Romo up after getting arms around him and that was really bad for their cause as one here and there could have really hepled them 7-6 the final 1st downs Dal 17 Was 14 yards 324 Was 305 Dal and the SKins fall to 3-7 and now the playopffs hopes look dim but you never know 9 wins gets you in sometimes but the SKins need to win the rest of the way and ven then i wouldnt consisder a sure thing the first thing and the seocnd thing (ANalyze This). Skins missed 2 FGs and thats why they lost Dallas missed one. Caps lose to Montreal OT loss to Toronto

The Caps started Michael Neuvirth and he was good not great but a l;ate PP score put the Canadiens up 3-1. Fehr scpred the first goal a slick wroiter far side top hself his 3rd from Perrault and Green. Montreal scored the next three and late in the 3rd Morrison reeled in a slapper before it got to goalie and slipped it to his backhand and in past the befudlled netminder his 7th from Green and Backstrom the Caps would get a late PP and went 6 on four where they had great chances as Green's slapper hit the post and dangled dangerously in front of the net but no luck Green the erd star Caps 34 shots Mont 22 PPs Caps 0-3 MOnt 1-2 Neuvirth 19 saves. Next up Toronto where this was a low scoring game it would end regul;ation and OT at 1-1 and in the SO Toronto notched two and the Caps never gave their third guy a chance as it was a done deal at that point but the Caps pick up a point which is better than nothing. The Caps only goal came on a splendid passing play where Green slid the puck to Obvechkin but the golaie thoiyght Green was gonna shot which gave Ovie s little space and Ovie went middle near side into the bakc of the net 1-0 his 16th from Green and Laich. Torotont would fire a slpaper it would bounce in front off some boddies and eventually hit a Leafs hand and go in and i dont think Smeyon had a clue where it was or where it ended up. I said what happened in the SO and it wasnt a good finale for this Caps team as Fehr broke his stcik as first shooter and that made it hard to score. 2-1 final in the SO Next up a trip to Ottawa to face the Sneatrors. Semyon great made 38 saves PPs Caps 0-4 Leafs 0-2 shots 39 Leafs 32 Caps Smeyon 3rd star. Caps need a win and they want it now vs the Senators the reamin alone in first in the East but need to keep winning to maintain adn put distance between them and the rest of the conference. Wiz Beat up on Cavs

The Wiz started off poorly not making 3s and getting behind by 17 just as the Cavs trailed by 18 in the early in the first meeting. Both teams came back from big defcits to win as the Wiz got themselves together played solid D shot well and win this one 108-91 so they win by what they once tariled by. The Cavs did make a late push to cut it to 12 but it would get no closer and i think the Wiz had become lax with their large lead. Caps beat Rangers

The team the Caps had to comeback on from a 3-1 defcit Caps won the series was who the Caps played tonight in NY and Ovie retuernd and made an impact scoring the Caps first goal. I'm sure Ovie's teamamtes coach and fans were glad to see #8 back in the lineup and on the ice. Rangers got an ealt juicy rebound and smacked it past Semyon 1-0. Then Ovie goes to Green on the PP Green back to OPvie and ALex unleashes a wicked slapper one timer into the bakc of the net his 15th from Green and Fleichman 1-1. Then Brooks Laich makes it 2-1 this one on the PP as well when he gets his stick on a puck dangling in the cresae between Lundquist's l;egs and smakcs it thorugh the five hole and into the back of the net his 9th from Clark abnd Green. Ny would get back to back PPs in the third and capatailze late in teh 2nd one when a puck slidews out and with just a tiny bit of space open of the net NY hits the right spot 2-2. Then with about 5 minutes left Bradley gets a breakaway with a D on his back but he controls shields the d off and fires one over the shoulder and into the net great shot and great job of getting the shot off his 4th from Beagle who;s in cause Boyd's out. Then 16 ticks left Pothier gets the puck deep in the d zone and fires it alkl the way down ice a baklchander slow enugh to take off icing and it hits dead center right through the heart of the crease and into the back of th net his 3rd no assists. 4-2 your final and the Caps bounce back after a dissapointing loss to the Devs more shopts for the Caps 26-20 PPs Caps 2-4 Rangers supposedly got a good PK not in this one NY 1-4 Smeyon 18 saves Ovie first sytar braley 3rd star Caps 13-4-4 30 pts still beast of the east. Skins win beat Denver

The Skins looked helpless def silvley early as two long bombs hit a wide open Brramndon Marshall but after that they held Denber to only a FG. It was 17-14 in favor of the Broncos but in the fourth quarter the SKins would score 13 staright points and win 17-27. Betts big game 26 carries 114 yds 4.4 avg and a TD. JC 17-26 193 a TD 100.3 QB rating good game although he was strong arming a oulpe that could have used some touch i think he knows that and will imporoive. Rock 9 car 41 yds 4.6 avg. Davis 4 for 50 El 3 for 45 Thomas 2 for 37 and he turned a quick screen into a big gain breaking two tackles and getting all the way to the five on the SKins final TD drive. Sellers 1 for 35 a fake punt thrown by Hunter and this one was lofted some say it hit the sun. Kelly 1 for 18 Ganther 1 for 18 Rock 2 for 9 Moss 2 for 8 JC just missed him on a bomb that would have been 6. Betts 1 for 6 Yoder 1 for 2 it was a TD and a nice lay out ctahc by the big fella. Skins forced two tos while not commiting any and thats a good way to win Lorenzo forceda fumble that Reed fell on top of and Hall picked off a poorly thrown deep ball in th end zone returned 26 yds then pitched to Landry who almost fumbled the pitch but held it barely broke some tackles and took it 12 more yards. Both teams had 3 sacks Orakpo 1.5 and Carter 1.5 and Brian already has broken the SKins rookie sack record and now has 7 leading all rookies so maybe he gets defensive rookie of the year if he keeps playing well. Carter has 8 for the year sixth in the NFL. Suisham hit 2 more FGs and is now a perfect 12-12. Nwxt up a 1.00 meeting in DaLLAS to face off in that rivalry Skins need wins. HAIL TO THE SKINS!!

Caps fall Wiz fall

The Caps jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but Devs would score five straight 5-2 final. I thought Morrison had a goal but it wasnt awarded and that swung the decision to New Jersye. Felichman scored on the PP far side low and in his 7th from Green and B morrison. Then Mathhieu Perrault would score his 2nd on a slick wristed one timer near low and into the net from Green and Bradley but that was it for the Caps 1-1 on PP but only one man advantage not enough refs give the Caps a chance Devs 1-3 29 shots fro the Caps 23 for the other team Jose only 18 saves and he is falling from number 1 goalie satus i think that spot is now Varlamovs to lose. Next up a trip to Ny to face Rangers on Tuesday. Wiz fall to Detrit Miller and Boykins gooad games everyboidy else not so good. The team shot the 3 well 9-17 52.9% but end up losing a game they could have won. Wiz lose 106-103 Wedsneday the Cavs visit Verizon in that rivalry. Wiz bnow 2-7 not good.

Caps beat Wild Terps BB roll

The Caps hosted the wild this evening and played solid D very solid and Smeyon worked well in the crese allowing only one goal. Wild scored right after a PP when a puck find its way between Smeyon and into the net. But the Caps would respond on their PP when a cutting Green was found and he let off a one timer five hole and into the back of the net his 3rd from Fleichman and B. Morrison 1-1. Then ealry in the 3rd Pothier would support the rush get a pass and fire it far side top shelf in the net 2-1 his 2nd from Perreualt and Fehr more good work from the young gunners. Laich would ice it late with a empty netter when he would pick off a pass and fire it in the vacant net his 8th unassisted with about 36 ticks left 3-1 pretty much game over and 3-1 was the final. Semyon 29 saves shots 41 for Washington 30 for the WIld PPs 1-3 Caps 0-3 Wild. Wild goalie got top star and he was good allowing the 2 goals but not good enough to win on this night and the Caps tested him often 2nd star Pothier with his game wining tally adn third Fleichman 1 A i think Semyon should have been a top star and Green as well honorable mention. Caps go to New Jersey tonight and play Devils tommorow hopefully with Ovie back in the lineup they could use him and I think he will play. Caps 12-3-4 on a 4 game winning streak. Caps alone in first with 28 points but the team the face tommorow is 2 back so the Caps need point or points in it to stay alone on top the East. Knuble breaks a finger gone 3-4 weeks. Terps beat Charlestown Southern eaisly 89-51 38 point drubbing. Gtown well on top of Tulane late 71-52 they will win that one boithe local teams i follow and both are 1-0 so good starts. Caps win over Isles

The Caps played another great game but two late penalties gave NY the chance and on the second they tied it and sent it to OT another point good but you always want the 2nd and the Caps got it tonight ill detail a wild 11 round SO later for you but now the goals. 8 seconds in Semin is free down the wing and blasts a wicked slapper top shelf in bam 1-0 his 8th from Morrison first thing that happened. The Isles would respond with 3 staright though a onetimer slapper from a d a breakaway that break Jose ankles and the other well im just not sure i dont remember wait wait no sorry. then Fleichman gets the Caps back in it when he fires a one timer hard fast and into the back of the net after Backstrom skaetd by through and past people dropped it off and Fals finished his 6th from Nik and Knuble on the aPP 3-2. Then Semin scores on the PP his 9th from Green i forget how this one happened too i gotta watch the highlights man OT SO and lots of goals and its hard to remember the dteails Brain Freeze. 3-3 the Feher would give the Caps the lead on a sweet backhander that went in his 2nd from Clark adn Green. Isles would score real late on the second of back top backl PPs and just when the Caps think they are in control ready for a win bam a penalty right as the first expires slapper past the gl;ove the first and only goal Semyon would allowe as replaced Jose after oh 7 minutes thats like a pitcher getting pulled in the first inning not good for the confidsnece. The good thing is that Smeyon was great and my guess is hes the Caps starting golaie when Minnesota visists Friday at 7:00 wlecome to Verizon Wild where thats all the Caps fans are and get BABY. Caps Pound Florida

The Caps Beat Florida both times in the back to backers this one was edgy at times as Florida took a 3-2 lead into the third but the Caps third was to much for Florida to overcome as they netted 5 goals and won 7-4 a big time third period an offensive explosion. Knuble scored the Caps first goal when he shot a sharp angle sghot through the wickets and in his 4th rfrom Morrison and Laich. Panthers tie it on a juicy rebound throug Jose 's wikcets thats five hole between the legs for people who dont know hockey lingo. Then Brooks Laich would put the Caps back ahead when he shot a sharp angle 5 holer into the net very much like Mike's hois 7th from Fehr and Clark. Panthers tie it on a mean slapper then go ahead when Jose gets knocked down no pnelaty and he cant get up before a pass in front winds up in back of the net i mean. Then Matthieu Perrault ties it up on a sweet rap around five hole bounces off the pads and through his first NHL goal from noone unassisted. Then Laing bumps the Caps up by 1 when he send the puck into the back of the net off a nother sweet cross ice pass catches it right on his stick and flicks it sweet goal i'm using the term sweet alot in this one because it was a swwett game and i have alot of sweet candy from Halloween still but yeah its a Halloween theme his 2nd from Bradley and Poti and him and Perrault are two youngsters proving to be valuable players for this Caps squad and they are earning spots on this team. Florida ties it up on a deflection 4-4. Then Felichamn puts the Caps on top for good wehn he gets a juicy rebound and pounces on it sneding it into the top shelf hard to reach stuff.( Maybe thats where mom put the marshamellows SWeet!!) his 4th from Backstrom and Knuble. Then Knuble scores again on a really one more time SWEET defelction the puck is whistled through his legs by S. Morrison(another matrshmallow refernce smore isson nor well Brendan isnt as good) he catches it with his stick and it goes in top shelf by the sweet stuff his 5th from SMOREIOSSON and Nik the Quick and slick Backstrom. Then Fleichamn adds insult to injury and one more sweet wrister right past the goalie and im no statistician sounds like a hard and boring job but 7 goals against gots to hurt your GAA his 5th from Knuble and Pothier 7-4 Final and for the Caps a win they wanted needed and played very hard bumping there record to 10-3-4 24 pts tied with Pittsburgh who is right now down big in San Jose 0-4 so props to the Caps i said they needed becuase im sure they want points and that number 1 spot and right now its neck and neck and this early in the season its hard to tell who will get it but im betting the Caps will Colorado surprsie surprsie is first in the whole NHL they have 26 pts and now the Caps are gunning for that spot becxause it pays off in that final series of the year you know what im talking about so LOOK OUT BELOW AVAALCHE CUZ DCS BUSTIN CAPS AT YOU. Caps Beat Cats

CAps were once again without Ovie but they put a beating on Florida in FLorida. A goal in the 1st a goal in the second 2 in the 3rd and a major oenalty kill one that could have hurt the Caps but didnt hey they dint even allow a shot on it in 5 minutes thats solid work from the PK. The Caps first goal in the first was by Sloan 2 in a row Slonie good job he was at the end of a nicing passing play which gave him some open net to aim at and he hit it goal his 2nd from Clark and Pothier. Then Morrison woukld make it 2-0 when he held on top the puck dragging the golaie out of position and wristing one top shelf back of the net his 5th from Laich and Pothier. Then Pothier who assisted on the first two would be set up for a one time slapper and he slapped just right top shelf near side over the shoulder and in back of the net his 1st from Backstrom and Fleichman 3-0. Panthers score one then get the major penalty against Shanw Mo and the PK did the job on that long disadvanatge even though the allowed a PP in the 3rd that was it for Flroida's O. Fleichman first period sent one through the pads and as it was about to trickle in a d got to it and knocked it away fromn the goalieline Sloan did the same for the Caps. Poti had a sweet pass with a open side of net but he fired to hard and it went over if its on target its going in. Brendand Morrsion added an emprty netterhis 6th from Knuble who smakced the puck up to him after workin free by the boards Brendan had a D on his back and an empty net in front of him and he didnt miss. 4-1 yoir final. Jose 28 saves allowed just 1 goal and had the SO into the middle of the third but a juicy rebound off a slapper was netted for ZFlorida one and done for them. Both teams 1-2 on the PP 7 minutes to 4. Shawn major was a mean hit into the boards wghere the guys had slammed against the boards and he was cut hope mo suspension. Green left eraly in the first after thrwoiing a hip check and Scjukltz left in the 2nd after shanking a shot hope both miss no time. First star B Pothier 1 G 2 A second Jose 28 svaes .966 save % and Morrison gets snubbed but he had 2 goals and should have been up there but they threw a Panther in just to tick Caps fans off. Next up Florida visits Verizon tommorrow actually as back to back nights of a home and home fibnish out maybe Ovie maybe another Caps win. Wiz lose to Indiana and i saw fromer Hoya Hibbert really playing well not gonna blog about it cuz i only caught af ew minutes and it was a blowout. Sunady a t one Phenix visits Verizon but the SKins will be playing plan to watch the majority of the SKins but will see some Wiz. Caps win and are now9-3-4 22 ponits top in the SOutheast 2nd in the East 2 points behind Pittsburgh and thise head to head matchups could determine the Beast of the East not Best of the West or maybe Best overall. Caps wiz Both Fall

The Caps game again had bad penalties decide the outcome and the Caps themseklves had only one PP not enough usually to win in the NHL. The Wiz had a brain freeze at the end of there game trailing by 3 Gil thought a lob pass to Haywood was a good choice not so Gil we needed a 3 Baby!! Wiz fall 93-89 while the game was back and forth in the fourth. CB3 6-13 13 pts 10 rebs a stl and a blk. Brendadn 6-12 16 pts 11 rebs 1 ass 2 stl 2 blks. Miller 3-5 8 pts 4 rebs 3 ass. Gil 9-27 32 pts 1 reb 3 ass 2 stl. Sedahwan 0-3 a nother 0 fer and the only 0 fers i like are Omeka Okafer. Foye 2-6 6 pts Blatche 4-12 10 pts 7 rebs 2 ass a stl and 2 blks WHen is Young gonna take Deshawn's spot in the roation i hope soon because he's 0fering it up.31-82 37.8% 5-16 3s 31.6% 22-28fts 78.6 % 41 rebs 15 dimes 7 stls 5 blks 12 tos not enough to beat the heat. The Caps fell 3-2 Semin had a break waya after he left the box late but didnt convert and that's when i tuned into the wiz for good after switching most of the night i wish they could just play on different noights.The Caps got th 1-0 lead when Sloan fired a shot top shelf near side his 1st from Perrault who played well and Calrk Clark did well to keep the puck in teh zone which lead to a 2 on 1 where PErrauly found SLoan going to the net for the ealry lead late in the first. Devils tied when a rap around bounced off Mike Green and in one Semyon could have had but it wa so close to the net he wopuld have had to be lightnng quick on it. Then on a late penalty to Smien one i wish he could have avoided the Devils struck on a slapper over Smeyon's glove. They would get another PP goal not too much later 3-1. Fleichman added a late goal to give the Caps some hope his 3rd from Laich and Perralut. Semyon 29 saves pps Caps 0-1 just 1 PP gimme a break and Devils 2-5. Im wishing i had watched this one but the Wiz game was close and enticing. Next for the Caps a 7:30 Friday bnight in FLroida wo face the Pantehrs. The wiz have a friday night 7:00 start in Indiana to face the Pacers and both teams need wins the WIz a little more bvadly and ill tell you who else the Caps need Alex Ovechkin your 2 time ina row MVP Thats Most Valuable Player Get well Soon Ovie we need you back BABY!! Wiz lose to Cavs

Let me say this to start off this Cavs team is better than last years. Any time you add maybe the best center ever Shaq Diesel you get better. Yes he is up there in years but is still very productive and pretty much unstoppable near the basket and the Wiz found that out last night as Haywwod and Oberto and whoever were getting faked backed down adns cored on at will by the Big Fellow. The wiz had a huge lead in the first half 18 points but could not hold it as Cavs cut it to 4 by half. Then using a 4th quarter run got up big late and held on. Why was the first so favorable and the seocnd so different. Wiz did not pass well shot to ealry without setting up their O and werent making shots they needed to have starting the last quatrer. The Stats. CB3 7-18 22 pts 6 rebs and a stl. Brendadn 3-8 8 pts 9 rebs a stl a blk. Miller Foye should have started 2-3 12 pts 8 rebs 3 ass a stl. Gil 7-18 22 pts 7 rebs 5 ass not enough from the PG. Foye 3-7 Bl;atche 3-7 7pts each Blatche 8 rebs Deshawn 0-4 3 pts Insert Young he will score for you i gurantee it ive seen him play enough to lnow that he dribbles to open space up for his jumper which he nails often. Deshawn only shoots threes and if there not open he can drive but he has to rely on getting foulde becuz he dowbnst throw down on opposing big mean most guards dont. final 102-90 Wiz 29-67 39.1 % 4-14 3s 28.6% 32-41 fts 78% 48 rebs only 12 dimes 4 stls 5 blks 13 tos and they were sloppy with the ball when they needed to be maiking shots. Caps Lose in OT

The Caps really hurt themseklves with bad penalties late and ones in OT are huge because it stes up the 4 on 3 and the the one late in the 3rd that set up a 6 on 4 and the could have sealed it but a shot at the empty net went jsut wide later COlumbus would score with just 22 ticks left and their goal in the OT would be just like the one at then end of regulation. The Caps record 7-2-4 or 9-4 still strong but they could have had that extra point if not for some silly penalties. The goals Backtsrom scored after he made a behind the back pass that lost everybody he got it back and the goalie had just went to stop Tomas but he fed it and Backstrom had some open net in front of him and capitalized his 4th from Fleichman Semin. Cbus would tie then take the lead after an unlucky bounce of the boards bounced way from Jose as he tried to play it bounced right to Cbus and was hit into the net. But Laich would tie it up on the PP getting a juicy rebound and stashoing it his 5th from Poti adn Semin then Laich would score again saying uh uh i aint done yet as he snapped one past a screened Mason and in his 6th from Morrison adn green. Cbus would tie on a rap around and Teho didnt have his stick. But Laing would jump on a great pass that STeckel was trying to socre with he whiffed but caught enough of the puck and it went to Laing who socred with 3 and half minuites left would i thought would be the game winner his 1st from Steckel and Bradley. The bad slash on Knuible and then a 6 on 4 and o boy the Caps almost held the lead but just as the penalty expired the pass through the creses was tipped in and that was the same as the Ot 4 on 3 goal after Pothier got the interfernece call against him. Bad penalties folks are like a sparined ankle they arent to be played with. Laich your third star Theo 27 saves and hey he should have only allowed 2 taking the fluke goal away i thought he made some nice saves but like i siad those late oppurtunities were real tough stops and Theo i wish could have made that first one cuz that would likely have been game set match Caps. No SO i would have liked to see that 5-4 your final. PPs Cbus 2-6 Caps 1-5. Netx up a trip to the Devils Wednesday i wonder who will be in net. Ovie missed 2/3 of the game and i pray he's back cuz the Caps need there number 1 draft pick every time they take the ice Get well soon Ovie and play in New Jersey. LET'S GO CAPS!!!!!!
