O's Beat KC earn Split

The O's split thes series witrh KC but ourcired them 20-15 so the Birds played better than KC if you total the stas. Brad Bergsen another great outing going 7 allowing 1 and improving his record to 7-5 with a 3.43 ERA. Hewndisckson pitched 2 innings allowing a 2 run homer and the final was 7-3. WIgginton hit asolo shot his 7th Then Huff hit a bases loaded bases clearing double Markakis reached on an inf,ield single and it was 5-0 O's then Roberts would hit a double after Cesar had hit a double and Felix singled in Roberts so 7-0 before KC socres and the Birds win. Next up Boston visists Camden Yards. SHould be a greats series.

O's Bust KC UP

The Birds had another rookie on the mound and he had a scary outing but not a bad one as he worked 4.2 allowing 3 ER all solo HRs but hey he had some jitters but I think if he shows better control he can be a real good one. Jones another long ball a 2 run shot his 17th and he just missed anotyher one late hitting right at the top of the big scoreboard any other park its gone for a three run shot but instead a rbi double which sets up Nick with the infield in and he drives a line drove into the outfield for a 2 run single. Huff singled in a run and Markais had another rbui single and Albers gets the win pitching 2.1 scorless 2-4 with a 3.60 ERA and right now he's goit the hitters baffled Jim Johnson a strong outing going 2 scorless and picking up the save good to see some scorelss work from the guy because he has been giving up some heartbreaking runs recently. Markais 3 hits Roberts 2 and Jones 2 Markakis and Jones getting doubles. aznd Nick just missed making it back to back jobs in the first hitting the top of the fence. Brad Bergesen goes tomorow and i expect a great long outing from the rookie who is pushing Nolan for rookie of the year honors in the AL.

O's fall again to KC

The Birds have dropped the first 2 vs KC. Berken gave them a qaukloity sratrt going 6 innings allowing 2 and he left with a chance to win but Jim Johnson allowed the first batter he faced to go deep tying the game at 3. Adam Jones hit a 2 run homer his 16th and WIters hit an rbi single he had 4 hits all singles Reimold had 2 hits as did Cesar. Hendisckosn worked a scolress inning as did SHerill Baez worked to allowing one again KC burns the O's on a swinging bunt this time in the 11th top socre a run and the birds could not score and lose 3-4. Greinke vs Tillman as Chris makes his firts big league start and hopefully the OI's can gets ome runs off Zach who's having a great year.

O's Fall to KC

Rich Hill had another poor showing 2.1 3 ER and this could mean him being out of the roation as he has had more poor starts than good and usualy that means the guy will lose that starting spot. Jones hit a solo sjot deep to center about 420 feet gone his 15th. Bass added some much needed rel;ief going 3.1 no runs, ALbers gave up a run on a swinging bunt which could have been the 3rd out but instead the runner beat Mora's throw. Then Baez allowed an unearned run as Roberts threw wide on a play he did good getting to the ball up the middle but the throw was wide and neither Huff nor IWters could get to it. Jones got a 2nd RBI when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. WIters would single in a run but Nolan was gunned down out the plate and Cesar Izturis then led off an innibng with asingle and stole second but the ump made the wrong call calling him out and he probaly would hacve scored.

O's Beat Red SOx

The O's played real well today beatin the Red SOx 6-2. David ZHernanez pitched a career higfh in innings 7 and allowed just 1 run getting the win he's now 3-2 and a promising rookie much like Brad Bergsen as David has had 7 quality starts out of 8 a very good ratio. His ERA is even better than Brad's at 3.2 and he's proven himslef vs good teams. If you can have very goods tsrats vs Yankees and Red SOx you can pitch great agfainstr everyone. Johnson pitched an inning and allowed 1 run and AHreuill the 9th scorless Johnson hjas struggeld as of late but is still a strong optinop out of the pen in the ate innings. Markakis hit a sac fly and a double and a solo HR his 12th driving in 3. Reimold doubled Markais in and Wiggintoin singled home Nolan,. Pie doubled in Roberts as Pie had 2 hits in 4 goes. Good game all around from the Birds as they now head home after a long road trip and plat KC for 4 a team they always playw ell against.

O's Fall to Bosox

The only run the O's scored was when Reimold stole second and got to third on an error than Mora sac fllied him home. Bergesen pitched 6 innings allowing 3 ER and got the loss. LAbers a s orelsess inning and Baez a scorless inning. The O's thretened to sco4er when REeimold hit a double but Mora hit to balls down the lines eash going barley foul. Then they loaded the bases in the ninth on hits by Jones and Nick and a walk to Nolan nut they didn't even score a run.

O's get Swept by Yanks

Berken could have had an easy day but a botch by Roberts on a slow ground ball extended an inning from 1 run to 4 runs and that was the differemnce. Berken pitched 6 allowing 5 ER but that was a bad call by a bias judger on Cano's easy out. Markakis hit a sac fly and Huff reached first after he struck out on w awild pitch allwoing Jones to socre. HJones hit a solo shot in the ninth for his 14th and Markakis made it back to back jacks with his 11th but the Birds fall 6-4 once again because of bad defensive mistakes.

O's Lose game 2 to Yanks

A hanging slider was a costly 2 run homer by Cano as the Birds lose 6-4 Markkais singled in a run and had 3 hits as did BROb. Jones hit and rbi grounder and Mora had a 2rbi single but the Yanks would recieve too many free passes and Hill had naother poor outing going 3 innings and allowing 5 Bass gave up another urn in 2.1 Albers got ouit of a huge jam 1.2 scorless and hendrickson 1 socrelss. B rob got his 20th steal of the year and moved to 3rd on a bad thjrow.

O's lose to Ny

Nick Markakis hit a solo shot in the first his 10th but that was all the runs the Birds would get as Hinske tied it with a solo shot and Matsui enedd it in the 9th woith another solo shot. David Hernandez was strong pitching 6 allowing 1 and Hendrickson a scorless inning Jom Johnson 1.1 1 allowed. The Birds should have scored more than once with a runner on third and less than 2 outs but they failed 3 times i believe.

O's Rout Palehose

The O's banged out 11 hits and 10 runs and 7BB and won easy and big 10-2 outscoring the Sox in the series 21-18 as Guthrie pithced 8 solid innings giving up 3 hits 2 of which were solo shots but just 2 ER in 8 great outing. Johnson worked a scorless 9th Zaughn had a key single in a 5 run inning and also a 3 run homer his 4th Huff ands Scott each doubled and the O's thretned alot in this one. 2 wild pitches ended up in runs for the Birds Scott walked withe bases loaded as did reimoldZaughn hit a single and Cesar hit a Dp ball but the runner at first stopped so he wouldn't be teggaed and ended up in a run down which allowed Scott to socre smart play. Scott doubled in a run and then the Zaughn blast and the O's win it big and easy and now face NY in NewYork.

United gets redemption O's fall

United played a heck of a seocnd half scoring 3 times and holding the Rapids scorelss but Colorado tallied once on an own goal off the foot of Namoff in the first half. Then right away in the second MOreno sets up Gomez who gets tugged down in the box and Moreno hits the high corner beatifully to score. Then Namoff hits a diving header on a corner that betas a dman and the keepper 2-1 United. Then Gomez does greta to get his foot on a ball at the goaline while the d is trying to shield him the Fred controls and dishes a sweet drop pass to Emilio who has a lot of net in front of him and he scores. 3-1 Is your final but Chicago won there game and are in first in the eEast DC just 1 point behind them and tied with Volumbus. The birds fell 4-3 but in the 8th Cesar was held at third when he should have scored so this game could have been extra innings. Buerle pitched 7.1 allowing just 1 run when reimold doubled home Wigginton who had doubled. in the nibnth the O's made it intereseting scoring a couple on a reimold single and a roberts single but Marakis would hack at a low pitch and ground it for an out Bregesen was cruising until the 5th when someone recehed on an error and the next batter Dye hit a 2 run shot than a few more hits would socre 2 more and if notfor great throws from the outfield this could have been a lot moire lopsided as reimold gunned down a whitesox at the plate then Markakis did the same Brad 6 innings 2 ER Hendriscon scorless inning and SHerill socrless inning.

SLugfest between Palehose and O's

This game featured 20 runs and the Birds put up 8 of them as they fall in the opmner of the secoind half 12-8. Berken pitched 4.1 allowing 6 and Thome slugged 2 homers a grand slam and a 3 runner and that was huge for the whitesox one going deep into center over a hedge set really far. Markakis hit a 2 run dinger hiis 9th and Adam Jones added a run shot of his own his 13th but it wasn't enough for the O's who had bullpen struggles in this on as Albers allowed 2 Baez 2 Hill 2 and Mickolio1.2 scorless the only O's pitcher to not allow a run. Izturis doulbled in a run and the O's thretaned top score many times without getting the clutch huit. Huff hit adouible scoring Jones and Jones before ahit an infoield single that had a wild throw on it. Mora hit a deep double to center that missed going out by mere inches as did Huff.

O;s win last 2 win seruies.

The Birds played a long one in game 2 taking 12 innings for Mora to hit the walk off home run his 3rd solo Birds win Hendrickson gets the win Hill left with the lead but Jim Johnson gave up a run in the eight. Luke a solo shoyt his 18th Bass 2 scorelss Mark 1 scorless Witers hit a bloop double rbi Markakis and Huff doubled back to back for another and the 2 solo shots. 4-3 your final Baez and Sherill scorless inning each. Next ga,me Brad Beregesen waits until the 7th to give up 2 runs that was it for him and he left allwoing just 2 of 6.2 pitched. The bullpen would be flawless as Beaz got out of a minor jam inthe 7th Johmnson a sorless 8th and SHerill a scolress 9th his 20th save picked up Brad wins to go 6-3 3.54 Era which went down. roberts doubled in Cesar mrakais singled in BROb Salazar made it 3-0 with a solo shot his 2nd and the Birds adsded one more when BRob singled home Cesar ;ate and won 4-2. The Jays scorled only 7 runs the whole series 2 3- 2 and the Birds socreed 0-4-4 and had 8 runs and three homers. Birds win the series 2-1 and have beat the Jays 5 out of9 and go into the break 40-48 with 74 ghames left not too late to make a run but they do trail and aneed a few long winnings dtreaks to get back into the race.

The O's were sghutout 2-0 as Berken is your hard luxck loser he pitched 5.2 allowing botrh runs but they came on a ball Jones could have cauyght he went basket instead of bachand which cost him the out and the O's the game. te bullpen was solid as ALbers went 2.1 scorless and Mickolio went 1 scorless and he has been impressive for the ball club big team. The O's were rece tly blanked vs Mariners but responded with 12 runs the next game i would like to see something similar to that outburst tonight. i think rich Hill is taking the mound for thr Bitrds and he needs a win ain a big way, or he could be out of the reotation when Koj gets healthy or befoire.

O's comeback and win over M's

The Birds allowed a 2 run homer in the first David Hernandez starting. A poip fell in that bounced off the heel of Reimold's glove that happens alot to Nolan. Lopez hit the dinger but that woul;d be all David would allow as he went 6 strong allowing the 2. Problem was the Birds didn't score him any runs but they got him off the hook for the loss in the ninth. Brian bass gave upo an unearned run and 3-0 going to the final innng. Then Mora woul;d doubl;e ZZaughn walked Salzar singled bases loaded for Jones who hit a swinging bunt down the 3rd base line and got an i field single. Then Nick would hit a ball to 2nd but it would bne bobbled and the guy would have only got Joens at 2nd cuz Nik was running hard. thenWIgginton who had gorunded into 2 DPs hit a single bnakc through the middle and Jones and Pie score 4-3 O's Roberts would reaxch on another error by L:opez and the guy whop hit the homer suddenly became the goat and anotehr run would socre5-3 your final as Sherill gets the savce his 19th outof 22 and Bass gets the win now 5-2 great recoprd for a l0ong man. meaning the O's come back in games a lot for him. Day off manyana and the Torotonto vuisits Baltimore for the final 3 before the break.

O's Almost No hit

Aside from a Nick Markakis single in the 4th the O's had noone on base not even a walk. 1 hit was all Jarrod Washburn would allow as Bergesen allowed 4 runs 3 earned Bass gave up a un and Mickolio pitched a scroelsss 8th but you can't score when yopu don't get past first base and heck the Birds were only there once tonight anyway. Guthrie tommorow vs ex O bedard should be anotehr picther's duel so let's see who blinks first and hopefully the O's get past first tommorow.

O's Lose series to ANgels

David Heranndez had a good outing in game 2 but he was the only starter top pitch well in the foiuyr game set. He went 6.2 allowing 3 runs but won 2-2 record now Joh son 1.1 allowed 1 and SHerill his 18ths ave. Huff hit a 3 run homer his 11th. Luke Soctt hit one in game 1 his 16trh and Wieters slammed one out in the fibnale his 3rd again an opposite field shot. Hill did not fair well but left witha 6-5 lead. Guthrie allowed 2 homers by ABreu that sunk his battleship and Berken anothe rpoor outing. Berehsen goes tonight on the west side vs Seattle and that kid has been the best starter the O's have so hopefully things turn around for our starters and we beat up on Seattle. Only time will tell. Birds drop 3 out of 4 to ANgels and Guerrero hits 2 homers.

4 games to speak on

The O's failed to sweep the Nats and lost 5-3. Hrnandez allowed a run hoemr to Dunn. The O's were shutout in game 1 vs the Sox 4-0 Lester pitched well and Bereken lost. Then game 2 proved to be the bihggest comebakc in O's history as they traile 10-1 heading into the 7th but scored 5 in the 7th and 8 in the 8th and wonHill allowed 9 runs and didn't lsoe SHerill got the save. The finale was good as the O's lefd 5-1 but i the 9th they tie it off SHerilla nd Johnson and Boston's weins it in th 11th. 6-5 your final.
