Caps domiante Lightning

The Caps played a great all around game creating great chances on O with skilled moves and sweet passes and Stifling D as they shutout Tampa 3-0. AO returned to the ice and scored the first and third goals. The first goal was Semin swinging it cross ice and Ovie one timed slapped it low corenr near side and in his 19th from Smein. Then FLeichamn would get creative with no open passing line he flips it uop high it bounced a couple times then Fehr got his stick on it and fired it up and into the back of the net his 8th from Felichman. Then the Caps would be on an odd man break Fel;ucman was the trailer and he fires one off the post on a one trimer it bounced through the crease and ovoie got sa backhand on the rebound off the golies skate and into the net his 20th from Fel;ichman and Semin a PPG. Semyon and the D would play great making stick and poke checks on berakaways making save after save on anything coming his way and he blanks Tampa no goals for them Semyon's second of the season he almost had 3 but real late Florida managed a couple of goals. 1st star SMeyon 26 saves 2nd Ovie 2 G and third Semin 2 A. PPs Caps 1-5 Tampa 0-3. Shots 34 Caps Tampa 26 Caps now 19-5-6 that's 44 pts and good for best record in the league but only 4th in Espn power rankings i wonder why im sure if they keep winning they will be first next week. Next up a trip to Buffalo Wednesday to play the Sabres will Varlamov be asked to start again or will Jose be in net coming off a strong game in Philly hey right now it looks as if both are really playing well but SMeyon's numbers are stronger. Smeyon 7th in GAA 2.21 7th in Sv% .924 AO one goal behind the leader but he has missed 8 games if he hadnt he would be way out in front in the goal category and i know he s sour about the injury and the suspension asked about the suspension Ovie replied "it's just gonna make me madder" Good job Ovie and be careful out there no more missing games although the cpsa eeocrd withoput you is 6-2.
