I stated how important this game was in the standings one the Caps really wanted to win and did convincingly 1-4 where the struck ealry and often and beat the golaie who just become the all time shutoiut leader with 104 but the Caps took it to him today and got the standings boost. First goal was OPvechkin off a faceoff win by Nik shot a wrister near side 7 hole and scored into the back of the net his 25th from Nik Then Matt Bradley would shoot it would deflect off a d stick and bounce high hit the top of Broideurs glove go over drop and go in the net his 7th from Steckel and ALzner. The third goal was good cycle work by the top line ending with Smein feeding to Bakcstrom in front of the net a deke to his backhand and a roofer into the top corner and hit nothing but net his 15th from Semin and Ovie. Then Mike Green woul;d be found moving in from his d spot and the pass hit his stick and he roofed a wrister past the golaie and into the net another top corner targeted and hit his 8th from Ovie and Nik the DSevils scored on a wrister that wound up behuind Neuvirth a goal seimilar to Ovie's but now worries a 1-4 W for te home team Caps. Shots 30-40 Caps PPs NJ 0-4 Caps 0-2 Neuvirth 29 saves and a solid performance playing well with Smeyon out so who will be the backup Jose or Neuvirth a tough call Caps with 3 golaies all playing well. 1st star Nik 1 G 2 A second Ovie 1 G 2 A 3rd Steckel 1 A.
