O's fall to Toronto

Chris Tillman made his best sytart of the year only 3 tries thus far as he went 6.2 allowing 2 the runs coming on a Rios HR after a walk which ended up bad for the rook. But that was all he gave up and the Birds tied the game after an infield single by Jones a deep double to center hitting near the top of the wall by Huff and a double down the line by Reimolld tied things up at 2-2. It would go into extra innnings but the Birds with ample opps to score never got that third run and that's unfrotumnate becaise the Jays would get that 3rd run in the 10th of Baez who seems to be giving up that costly ruin late in games. Mereith worked a soclress inning and has a 2.25 ERA so he's been good Hendrickson got thte only out he was asked to get and Baez allowed 1 in 1.1. The opps I was talking about was a runner on third with less than 2 outs for WIters who popped out to shallow left now if he drives that ball somewhere fathrer into the outfield the Birds win this one 3-2 instead of losing it by the same socre. ALso in the 10th Nick led off with a double off the base of the wall but he was starnded and then they had no moree opps to score. Series tied at 1 with the Birds outscoring the Jays thus far 9-8 Baltimore outhit the Jays again today 9-8 but could not get the much needed RISP hits which they led the league in the first half seoncd half a whole differnt story so that is what they need to get back to doing as they face a tough rmeianing schedule facing the LAQ East a number of times. The rubber gaem tommorow the impressive rookie lefty for the O's Matusz and the Jays ace Roy Halladay. SHould be a lowsocring pitcher's duel and whoever musters the extra big hit or two should win that one.
