The Redskins were in a little bit of hot wtaer as the Eagles scored 7 on their first possesion and Washingotn punted to Deshean Jackson who returned it 68 yards for another score. There was a block in hte back but the officials decided to let it go for some reason. Portis and Cooley had their best games of the season as Portis led all ruunning backs in week 5 with 145 yards on 29 carries avg 5.0. Cooley caught 8 balls for 109 and a TD on a pass thrown by WR Randle El who has very impressive numbers throwing the ball. Brian Westbrook played after being questionable for the game but managed only 33 yards on 12 carries. So after the Redskins trailed 14-0 the rallied for three long FGs and the score at half was 14-9. Then Randle El and Portis were involved in 2 TDs and the Redskins took over leading 23-14. The Eagles would manage anotehr FG but it was not enough as the SKins D held them form getting into the end zone when on 3 and 1 from the 2 Westbrook was gang tackled as Carter blew up FB and the SKins teamed up to drop him for a 3 yard loss. 23-17 was the final as the SKins got the ball back and killed the rest of the clock with 3 first downs one a run by Portis to a run by Campbell on 3 and long and then on 4th and 1 ZOrn said to long for a FG to short for a punt let's go for it and Out of shotgun the Skins ran a draw to Portis the same play he scored a four yard TD on earlier this time he picked up 3 and the SKins did not have to run another play kneeling the ball 3 times for a victory. The Eagles vaunted D had only 1 sack and gave up 203 rushing yards. The O for the SKins once again did not commit a TO and Campbell extended his streak to 175 passes without a INT passing Joe Theismann for the SKins all time recored in that category. No sacks for the SKins but the get Jason taylor Springs and Washingotn back next week vs the Rams who have struggled this year.
